Blitz Story I felt my neck crack as I stumbled out of the Anderson shelter and up the five steep steps to what used to be the vegetable garden. As I looked up, what I could see was a sight of total devastation. The whole of the side of the house had been blown apart and some of the shrapnel had travelled as to the end of the garden and over the fence to the neighbours, crushing fences and digging up the ground. I had offered to let my next-door neighbours share my shelter as I had enough grass in my garden whereas they had none. So I poked my head solemnly back through the small door of the shelter to the family of four still sleeping, crawled into the rBlitz Story by ~markbilly
